We had a wonderful week here - the house is lovely and perfectly comfortable, and the location is a dream, with the deck being the star of the show. We loved enjoying the shady and sunny spots, the refreshing pool, and the extremely special location at the edge of the Pines. We've stayed at many different places on Fire Island and in the Pines, and this is our favorite. The hosts were extremely communicative and thorough and everything was easy and comfortable. A true delight.

This is a rare gem of a place both in the outstanding location and the inspiring design aesthetics. I have stayed around the world and this house would easily rank in my top five. The location itself creates an intense natural state of being - it is surrounded by nature on all sides and the open design of the living room and the master bedroom will make you feel like you are literally in some preserve all by yourself. The bedrooms are comfortable and the kitchen is adequate , although we spent most of the time on the deck grilling. The beach is a skip from the house yet seems removed from the bustle of beach towns. The restaurants were closed due to covid but we were able to get delicious produce from Pines Pantry (also delivers for a small fee) and spirits from the local wine shop. In walking around the town and the neighboring ones, we came across mansions on the beach to crowded co-ops but didn’t see a single one like Morty’s place with its unique combination of location, design, convenience and warmth. Fire Island Pines is a special place and we were so glad we got a chance to build a lifetime of memories from our week staying in this house!!

Beautiful house fully equipped for anyone’s stay on Fire Island. We’ve loved coming out to the Pines for years and 639 Fire Island Blvd did not disappoint this year. Great pool and amazing views of the stars at night. A quick jaunt to the Grove and fairly close to the harbor as well. Morty and Andres were excellent at communicating before and during our stay about logistics for the house and any questions that came up.
